The features of Advantix® for dogs in an overview:

Suitable for the following animal: Dog
For the treatment of fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, Ctenocephalides canis).
Fleas are killed within 1 day.
The single treatment provides 4 weeks of protection.

Advantix can be used as a treatment and control against flea allergic dermatitis (VAD).
This flea and tick remedy has a persistent acaricide (kill) and repels tick infection for four weeks.
It is recommended that existing ticks be removed beforehand
One treatment provides defense against sand flies (Phlebotomus papatasi for two weeks and three weeks against Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 2-3 weeks, against mosquitoes for 2-4 weeks and against stable flies for four weeks.
Imidecloprid and Permethrin have a synergistic effect. Imidecloprid enhances the effect of permethrin in arthropods.
In addition to being effective against fleas, it also works against flea larvae.
The larvae are killed when the treated animal comes into contact with them.
The product has a repellent effect against ticks, stable flies and mosquitoes, and the parasites cannot absorb blood and the risk of disease is reduced.
Advantix® Spot-On pipettes can therefore also be used on pregnant and lactating animals.

Contraindications:

In the absence of available data, the product should not be used in puppies of less than 7 weeks or 1.5 kg body weight. Depending on the body weight of the dog, the corresponding Advantix® product should be used, see dosage schedule. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the recipients.

Product is NOT suitable for cats!

Side effects:

Hypersensitivity (increased local itching, scratching, rubbing, hair loss and redness at the administration site) or lethargy, which usually disappears on its own. In very rare cases, dogs may show behavioral changes (agitation, restlessness, whining or roaring), gastrointestinal symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, hypersalivation, loss of appetite) and neurological symptoms such as irregular movements and muscle tremors in dogs sensitive to the permethrin component , These phenomena are usually temporary and usually disappear on their own. Poisoning from unwanted oral ingestion by dogs is unlikely, but may occur in very rare cases. In this case, nervous symptoms such as trembling and lethargy may occur. Treatment should be symptomatic. No specific antidote is known. The package insert asks you to inform your veterinarian.

Poisoning following accidental ingestion of the product in dogs is unlikely, but in rare cases may result in neurological symptoms such as muscle contractions or lethargy. Symptomatic treatment may be required here.

Caution:
